Regulations for drinking water consumption in France - 4MS approach
Initiated by 4 countries (France, Germany, Netherlands and Great Britain) the 4MS common approach aims to standardise the certification rules for materials and products in contact with drinking water. Its principles lay the foundations for a future single European régulations.
France introduces a part of this approach into its regulations with the new decree of 25 Juin 2020. It is effective from December 2020. Metallic materials in contact with drinking water must comply with the 4MS approved list. French drinking water certificates (ACS) issued before the new regulation, will remain valid until their expiry date, providing that metallic materials comply with the new decree from January 1st, 2023.
CODITAL is fully committed to this approach and productions has been renewed in compliance with the 4MS rules.
